About Ristobar San Polo

Ristobar San Polo is one of those spots in Venice that instantly feels like part of the neighborhood rather than just another place on the tourist trail, and that’s exactly what makes it appealing. Located in the lively San Polo district at S. Polo, 2024, 30125 Venezia VE, Italy, this restaurant fits naturally into its surroundings, surrounded by narrow streets, local foot traffic, and that unmistakable Venetian rhythm. When I introduce people to Ristobar San Polo, I usually start with the atmosphere because it strikes a nice balance between relaxed and energetic. It’s casual enough to stop by for a quick bite, yet comfortable enough to linger with a drink in hand. Outdoor seating is a big plus here, especially on pleasant days when sitting outside lets you soak in the everyday life of Venice while enjoying your meal. Inside, the vibe stays warm and inviting, making dine-in just as appealing as takeaway or delivery when you want something easy and satisfying. The offerings cover a wide range without feeling overwhelming, which works well whether you’re in the mood for a simple coffee break or something a bit more indulgent. Alcohol, beer, wine, and spirits are all part of the experience, and cocktails are often a popular choice for people easing into the evening. At the same time, coffee remains a constant presence, making Ristobar San Polo a practical stop during the day. The food side leans into small plates and quick bites, which makes sharing effortless and keeps things flexible. There are also healthier options on the menu, so it’s not just about indulgence but about choice. What stands out most is how easy it is to fit this restaurant into your day, whether that means grabbing something light between exploring Venice or settling in for a longer, relaxed moment with friends. Everything about Ristobar San Polo feels approachable, from the service options to the menu variety, creating a spot that feels natural, unforced, and genuinely connected to its Venetian setting.

This was our first stop upon arrival to a foggy, rainy Venice on a cold December evening. Their coffee was good and felt great to warm up. Their sweet options were super tasty. Though we didn't have much, it was definitely a bit too pricey, especially since we were inside and not in the terrace. Still, what we had was good.

Good food and warm service. Had dinner there during my stay at Venice enjoyed the hospitality. Food is okay atleast for me. There is cuperto which includes bread, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I had the bolonese lasagna and Venetian cookies with aperol spirit.

Stopped by following the gluten free reviews for my coeliac bf. He had gluten free lasagne & I had the ravioli. Food was good, service felt a bit ‘cold’ at times but worth visiting if you’re nearby - good prices too. Gf menu is limited but at least there are some options, including dessert!

Beautiful place with good atmosphere next to historic church. We appreciated gluten free menu because our daughter is celiac. All food was delicious and personal was very kind. Totally recommend.

Waiters are Absolute Legends TM and really cool And helpful. Really good vibes, and a good spritz compared to other €5 spritz's. Have been multiple times, would recommend to anyone wanting a pleasant drink a fantastic time. The only negative is that it's closed on Sundays :(.

Ristobar San Polo is definitely worth the stop! The workers are incredibly kind and friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. My favorite is that they offer gluten free items, such as gluten free lasagna! They offer indoor or outdoor seating, and I believe they do to-go.

This is the only place in all of Venice that has gluten free lasagna. It was delicious! We also had gluten free cannelloni pasta and gluten free pear tart.
